Nes Top-Loader Mod

Anyone know if it would be possible to mod a Top-Loader with A/V cables? I think I ran this by D-lite before but I can't remember.

While the jpn top loader the famicom av has the av all ready no rf.

I don't supose any body know the story why, NOA pull this stunt in the frist place ?

They probably did some research and noticed that %80 of the NES userbase didn't have composite inputs on their TVs. This was a long time ago after all.

People are still buying RF switches for Xbox 360s. Seriously.

What about how they took the RGB & S-Video out of the 2nd SNES?

I learned this the hard way recently and have to buy another mint old model SNES now.

Wait, the first model of SNES has S-video? News to me.

About a year ago I bought a new AV cable for my SNES.
the cable the store had was a multipurpose one, for the GC/N64/SNES.
It was a combination Composite/S-video cable. Just to see if It would work, I tried the S-video. It works - but only in Black and white.

Maybe the n64 and cube s-video pins are slightly different from the SNES's...

(yes, it's a model 1; supposedly it was a store demo model. Also, the plastic has become discolored - something that doesn't happen with later model 1 SNESs, and not at all with the new SNES)

But as for the top-loading NES, I'm dissapointed; i would've swore it had AV. I was actually thinking about getting one, since both(!) of my front loaders are busted.

I have one of those multi S-Video connectors and the S-video on my SNES works just fine, maybe you got a cheaper chord that is missing a pin the SNES needs or something.

I think the small snes mini deck USA release doesnt support s-video if I remember right. The old large ones do fine however.
