What ever happened to the HD Retrovision Component Cables for the SNES and the Genesis?

Are they still working on them?

Yes. Went through multiple revisions, one of them being recent. They're still happening, though I don't know when they'll be available to people outside of kickstarter backers. Probably April..at the earliest and even that seems too soon.

I just bought a modified SNES mini and have Sega and Nintendo scart cables to use on my component transcoder.

They are coming, the most recent backer update was on Jan 25th, 2016. As a backer I feel they have done a very good job keeping us informed about what is going on and explaining and issues they have had.

Probably the biggest change they made was changing from 2 types of Genesis cable to one type. So now it is just a Genesis 2 cable with a genesis one adapter.

One thing I am confident about is once these cables are done it will substantially reduce the time required for creation of future cables.

Once I get my cables I will post a review of them here.

That doesn't seem like that big of a deal.  Hopefully the Model 1 to Model 2 adapter has a breakout/in to put stereo audio in however.

The Genesis cables will have an audio in jack as part of the main cable not the adapter. The adapter will be similar to the Genesis Model 1 to 32X adapter.

It's a matter of getting the manufacturing process down. I'd like to get one of each of the cables, I didn't back it. But if they're going to be 30.00 or more it's not a high enough priority as I have high quality RGB SCART cables that I use with most of my monitors for these systems anyway.

I bet they will be. I'll pay it, though since I don't like messing with the color on my converter everytime I swap systems. Rather annoying.
