It doesn't suck shit. It just isn't that great. It isn't as good as it should have been, but it doesn't suck. Energy sucks. Cal III sucks. Strider does not suck.

I picked Strider up on Ebay recently for $43 which is a little cheaper than usual considering it was a US seller.  $50 is typical, sometimes it goes for $70+.
I like ACD Strider.  It probably has something to do with the fact that I've never played any of the other Strider games or ports before so I didn't have expectations that were let down.  I have foggy memories of playing 8-bit NES Strider for about 1/2 an hour when my friend rented it one day.
Once again, I like it.  It's a good action game.  I also like using my Arcade card as much as possible.

Strider is just what I would expect from NEC doing the port. Now if hudson had put in the effort, it would be a much better port.  Suprisingly though, Lost Worlds was pretty decent for a NEC job 8)

yes you're right. there is no reason to open up threads for a quote request of a single game only. better do that in the trading corner or somewhere, else the main discussion forums getting flooded by those " single request to single answer"-topics non sense :)

I know you are looking out for me because you have warned me in the past about this title.

Of course, despite your warnings, I am still going to buy this game... it's just a matter of time :)

You know that my curiousity has gotten the better of me and I'll have to find out how bad the game is for myself.

As I said, I am going to give this game a chance. :) You give me a little bit of hope that the game *can* provide some enjoyment :)

Haha well it's your money afterall, but consider getting Keranu to burn you a CDR or something first so you can try it.  Instead you could spend that $50 on Hana Taka Dana and tell me how it is!
