VR Thread
« on: May 03, 2016, 11:35:56 AM »
This year looks like it will be the year of the arrival of VR with Oculus Rift, Sony Morpheus & HTC Vive all launching.
I'm still yet to try it myself, I will jump in at some point, I'm just waiting till all models above are released then I'll make a choice on which to go for.

Anyone here tried it yet? Anyone own a Oculus or Vive?

Happy Console Gamer just uploaded a new video where he shoots his load everywhere after trying VR for the first time

I watched a video on VR, all I can say if a game is scary HELL NO I'm not playing it. You can watch Johnny's video and get a sense for how it's a little overwhelming on the senses.

I bought a used Oculus Dev Kit once locally. Unfortunately, my computer isn't so great and I couldn't run most of the stuff without crashing. However, the few basic things I did see, I was very impressed with. I don't think it is a fad like VR in the 90s or Playstation Move, etc.

On the other hand, it's very expensive. Maybe in another decade when you can buy them for $20, I'll get my feet wet.

Since VR is all the rage, I did what I always do and recently bought the preivous generation's gold, a 3D Vision Kit.  I'm having a lot of fun with it.  Playing the steam version of Nights in 3D looks fantastic.  As for VR, maybe in 5 years or so.

3d has been something I have always been enamored with.  I used to read all those red and blue books with the glasses when I was a kid and I have dabbled in most other 3D tech since.  Famicom 3D, Master System 3D, Laseractive 3D, Virtual Boy, and Vectrex 3D should be in everyone's house!

I preordered Playstation VR when it was announced, as I don't have a gaming computer so it was the least cost prohibitive solution.

I had played an early PS VR demo last September where you are in a cabin tied to a chair and it was a murder simulator.  The graphics aren't quite there yet, taking away some immersion, otherwise I was instantly hooked.  I fully believe 3D isn't just the future of video games, but of all media.

Now someone just needs to make Brainscan, so I can live my VR fantasy of being Eddie Furlong.

Brainscan!

I remember that movie..... Ha!

I should say: "I have extremely vague memories of the film."

But I thought it was fun.

I recommend that you keep the movie as a memory, a rewatch a few years ago made me realize it kinda sucks.  Plus the girl is the movie is fairly busted and my puberty fueled younger self thought she was smoking hot.

Can't wait to watch it again soon.

Haven't gotten a chance to try VR, and honestly I don't really care to. It might be fun for a few games, but aside from that it just looks like a really overpriced way to get motion sick. Still, I think the technology has potential and I'd like to see what comes of it in a few years when (if) it becomes more mainstream and cheaper.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the obvious use for VR. Like a certain type of movie? Right? Know what I'm sayin?

I have never tried a flesh light or similar sexual toys for guys because I am afraid the inside would become caked with my cum and I don't want to repeatedly f*ck my own cum or meticulously clean it either.

Otherwise, what the hell...  I'm game.

With my luck, the manufacturer of any VR Sex Suit I try will be forced to recall the product—but only after my left testicle had become inextricably stuck in some gears.
