I still think this whole VR thing is in its infancy.  I'm sitting this one out.  It won't be till Occulus Rift 2 or Vive 2 when things get remotely interesting for me.  Look at the first iPad that came out and compare it to the iPad 2.  Night and day difference.

As for the whole sex thing.....I just went the traditional more expensive route:  I got married.

At my work we just purchased the Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive to R & D.  We are implementing it into our simulation/game work.  This is going to be fun to work with, and will be nice that my job is going to keep me current in my field rather than holding me further behind.  It will finally be nice to work with Unity again rather than the simulation engine we've been working with.

Unity is so much fun and liberating after working with almost any other toolset - lucky!!

Sounds cool. My only experience with VR was at my old university in the late 90's when visiting promoters had set up a booth of a game with the whole shebang, i.e. head set and designated platform area you play in to trap all your movements and what not, etc. Still remember it, pretty cool experience, but only got to play it twice, it was some first-person shooter game.

I had a few friends over last night and showed them the PS VR, they were all impressed.  There are definitely limitations with current technology, but this is the first time VR is not a novelty and allows for legit gaming.

This.   I played with an Oculus once or twice.  It was all corny.
Same with the HTCdoodlef*ck.

PSVR, since it was designed to be used specifically on a game machine, seems to just work nicer.

I am annoyed that the launch bundles sold out left and right despite them being "in stock".   You add to cart, it goes OH JK, its gone.lololol.   Adding it to the cart should hold it while you are completing your clicking, but I guess that's a lost concept for Amazon, WalMart, Best Buy, Target, and even Gamestop.

It's OK though, because I ended up getting my own launch bundle in the form of going and buying used move controllers and a camera.   Ends up being the same price, since move controllers are f*cking worthless and nobody wants them.

People are flipping the launch bundles for like 700$.

If you go buy each item individually (none of them are hard to find), it totals 560$ instead of 500$.

So, everyone buying the bundle for 700$ is a f*cking simpleton and shouldn't be allowed outside.

Anyway, the VR effect is pretty good.  It's unfortunate that the space I play games in was more setup for sitting as opposed to flailing, but it still works.  I may need to back my couch up.

This headset also fits and functions nicer than the Oculus.

I bought my bundle from Gamestop and they charged $32 shipping, so then when I happened to score one from Best Buy instead with free release day shipping I was very happy...

...then I got two in the mail, apparently I forgot to cancel Gamestop.  I returned it to the store that day and they gave me a hard time for no reason and I still lost out on $32 for shipping...  bastards.

You play Batman yet?  I really enjoyed that and London Heist.  Kitchen demo is a hit for showing off the system to friends.  RIGS has been fun and seems to be a game with some legs, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have sold well because even 3 vs 3 games don't always fill up.

I have Thumper and Until Dawn still to play, lots of content out already.
