I'd like to actually repair/mod to full working order one of the C-64's I have here, I have 3 of them (one is my childhood system), 2 1541's, a tape drive and some other stuff. I used to have a monitor too, which I played my TG-16 and Duo on pretty much exclusively, but it developed a problem where when anything white was on the screen, it just started flipping wildly - so I got rid of it a while back. I remember the last time I tried to get my C64 going, the sound was completely dead so I think the SID chip might have went belly up. One of the other two might have a working one still. I was listening to Retro Game Asylum and one of those guys said they had their C64 outfitted with a SCART lead, that sounds cool for when I get an upscaler or god will it a PVM one day. I've always wanted a MIDI interface, too.
You know what else I didn't know about the C64 until recently? I have had Radar Rat Race since I was a kid. It's a shameless Rally X clone, but I played it just the same. I also have Jupiter Lander. Apparently, these are two of Hal Labs earliest games! Who knew? I heard that on Retronauts Hal Labs episode and I was pretty surprised.
