I need a STEREO (not video/mono) cable and AC adapter for a genesis 2 deck.
I picked the deck up at the thrift store for $3 but it didn't come with any cables.  They're easy to find on ebay, but don't want to get raped on shipping.

I originally ordered both parts through the nintendorepairshop.com and I've had tons of problems with them.  They are no longer returning my emails and I recommend that no one do business with them.

Your more then welcome to a free ac adapter I have for a Model 2 deck, you will have to pay shipping, and I will need to dig it out and test it first. As for stereo cables, hit ebay. They do have them now and then.

I recently bought a bare Genesis 2 deck as well (absolutely flawless cosmetic condition, which is the main reason I went ahead and got it). The best deal I could find on eBay for accessories was from a seller named gameliquidation. He sells AC adapters, stereo AV cables, and control pads individually, but it's better to buy them bundled. Usually he seems to sell an AC adapter, stereo AV cable, and two six-button pads for $14.95 and $19.95 BIN. Hardly anyone bids on them so you should be able to get them for $14.95. Shipping was $8.25. Not sure if you'd feel ripped off by that or not. He ships them stuffed into a padded envelope first class mail, which isn't the greatest, but it's unlikely the goods will be damaged (not like a fragile cardboard game box or jewel case).

The AC adapter was Performance brand, the AV cable was Recoton, and the control pads were Sega branded (but they looked like the Majesco rereleases of the pads, not the original Sega ones). At the time, that was the best deal I could find for those accessories on eBay, including shipping.

Thanks for the info PC Gaijin, that's not a bad deal.  I don't think I'm going to go that road because I don't really need 6-button pads or want to get into Genesis gaming.  I have an old 3 button pad I've been using for my SMS and I only want to use this deck for Sonic and maybe Phantasy Star 2 or 3 someday.

Michael, please let me know when you find that AC plug and I can pay you whatever you think reasonable for your pains.

Anyone with spare AV cables let me know!

Sorry, but I don't see your library card on the books of Ys.  Now, RETURN THEM TO ME!!!

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Ahh,see now your confusing me with Bullseye,Im only going to charge him for the shipping cost. Like $5.50. Thats it. Im not sure why he doesn't go for the combo listed above though,as it would get him a video cable too. Thats the route Id take, but thats just me.

Actually, I never intended to make any comparisons.  I was only assuming that was the price and I turned it into a cheap laugh. :)

But $5.50? That's a steal!

*wonders if there really is a guy named Michael Helgeson in Truth or Consequences, NM* :?:
