Wait a minute. 50th anniversary would mean original release in 1968.

Is it perhaps the 50th anniversary of Jump?

I see a 50 embedded in the Japanese, but the list of years starts at 1985 on the left there... And it can't be about Nintendo the company itself since it's twice as old than that...

EDIT: Oh, yeah, he's not wrong. Right at the bottom left in dark background it says, "2018 Nintendo (c) JUMP 50th Anniversary." Never heard of "JUMP" myself though.

Oh good. All those totally unplayable Jump based games can be had for...probably more than what the carts are worth now in some cases. :)

I love Jump, it was a big part of my tween years (year?) but I’m not sure if any of the games are any good. Kinnikuman? No way. Fist of the North Star? Nope. Dragon Ball? Not until the mid 90s so not on FC.

Dragon Quest is of course awesome but in my case I’d rather play it in English.

Jump Ultimate Stars for DS totally rules, but that was much later, obviously. Nobody is making games as bad as 80s Famicom shobelware was. Even Bandai makes good stuff now, whereas most all their games from the 80s were terrible.
