Honestly, I was surprised he chose so many Hu-cards!  I've always been a CD man myself.

I actually DO NOT like Legendary Axe!  It's too damn hard!!  I like the music from the first stage, though.

As for shooter Hu's, I'd say Sidearms and Blazing Lazers.  I've never won BL legitimately, but could get to the next to last boss.  Surprisingly, I did beat Sidearms a couple times!  All the other Turbochip shooters kick my @$$.

Military Madness!!!

Bloody Wolf is also too hard, and the only good music is from the first stage.

The Crush games, of course!

I don't know how, but I actually did win against Ninja Spirit twice.

Dungeon Explorer is a given.

I guess that's it for now.

I think it's weird that 9 out of the 10 games are US.  I think that there are better .jp games than several on the gamesack list.  To me, the list seemed to be saying "I'm going to make a list of the best TG games but I'm also going to include Dracula X because it's my favorite on the platform."

Obviously, it's personal preference so if those are his favorites then that's cool with me.  With that said, I'd always pick Last Alert over Bloody Wolf.
Current want list:  Bomberman 93

Yes!  Last Alert over Bloody Wolf any day!

I failed to mention that I did get through Coryoon once.  Not a particular favorite, but still very cheerful!

I want to like Dragon Egg, but it gets frustrating just partway.

I also disagree about the music in R-Type sounding better than the arcade.  I wanted the exact arcade music of the first stage, but it took YEARS to finally get it!  And the remixes used in R-Type Complete CD were horribly disappointing!

Funny enough, though, I think the first stage music of Darius Plus sounds better than the arcade!

I had no issues with Joe's top ten. Of course, there can never be a top ten for obey b/c there is just too many damn great games! I'm sure it was just YT bait to get views(it's Joe's job, so no fault there). If someone was new to Turbo, all of his picks would be a good start.

For those that haven't watched yet, or do not plan to, here is his list:

Bonks Revenge
R-type (HuCard)
Devils Crush
Soldier Blade
Bloody Wolf
Splatterhouse
Lords of Thunder
Legendary Axe
Ys I&II
Dracula X

I prefer Wolf over Alert, and I love Legendary Axe.

I actually prefer Splatterhouse 2 on the Genesis, though I'm no real fan of the series.

I'm surprised he picked Lords over Gate.  I prefer Lords myself, but online it seems that many go for Gate more.

Not in any particular order, but my list would have been something like this:

  Lords of Thunder
  Dungeon Explorer II
  Blazing Lazers
  Ys IV
  Cosmic Fantasy 4 part 2.
  Emerald Dragon
  Might & Magic III
  Neo Nectaris
  Sidearms
  Snatcher

:P

Ninja Spirit was the pack-in chip with my Duo, but I would have rather had Dungeon Explorer.

Not a bad list, but if they're going to include a single PCE game...  it should've been Hatris.   :pcgs:
U.S. Collection: 97% complete    155/159 titles

GameSack's list is pretty good, but a bit flawed. You gotta remember, Joe is a Sega guy, so his perspective is a little jaded through his 50 shades of brown!  :bonkthis:

Bonks Revenge
R-type (HuCard)
Devils Crush
Soldier Blade
Bloody Wolf
Splatterhouse
Lords of Thunder
Legendary Axe
Ys I&II
Dracula X

^This list isn't bad, they're all classics and incredible games in their own right, and I'm sure my top 10 is pretty obscure and odd, and would likely not make a very entertaining video/episode!

But here's my top 10 of the moment:

10. Shockman
9. Last Alert
8. Dungeon Explorer II
7. Bomberman '94
6. Gate of Thunder
5. Ys IV
4. Beyond Shadowgate
3. Lords of Thunder
2. Rondo of Blood
1. Ys Book I&II

i think top 10 hucard and top 10 cd should be separate lists, in a weird way
i always played hucard games a lot more cuz im a platformer guy

my top 10 "favorite" hucards

new adventure island
bonks revenge
liquid kids
parasol stars
legendary axe
legendary axe 2
super dodgeball
mr heli
bomberman 94 (or 93)
makai prince (its kind of the closest thing to a 16-bit "mario land 2" for me, scratches that itch)
air zonk
The Skinheads have Taken Madonna
