How the f*** would we know just from some stars?

The quiz before started off as a little square of grass or trees.
The stars in my clue have a purple tinge which narrows it down massively.

There's no filters that I'm aware of, but it does have scanlines.

There's no filters that I'm aware of, but it does have scanlines.

Scanlines and jpeg heavily distort pixelart. The latest reveal has 536 colors for example. If this was a large section of artwork from an obscure screen that most wouldn't recognize, then a photo of a screen wouldn't be too far off topic. When you distort a pixelart swatch consisting of just a few pixels, it makes it indistinguishable from many games which would end up like that after being filtered. It ends up becoming a different type of game. More like those movie theatre 'guess the actor' quizzes.
