Games that should be made for the Wii:

-Sports Pad Football - This SMS game REQUIRED the Sports Pad.  That is why it rules you.

-Gyromite - This game used a robot.  Any game with a robot is good.

-Gears of War 2 - Only the Wii has graphics good enough to continue the Gears of War franchise.

-Wonder Boy 6: Monster World 5. - Screw playing a game with a d-pad.  Only a$$holes do that.  Instead you'll lean the Wiimote right to walk right, left to walk left, up to climb up and down to squat/climb down.  Flick it up to jump and in some other random direction to attack.

-Street Fighter 4 - Again, no buttons.  Buttons are for sissies.  All moves and attacks are made by moving the Wiimote.  The Wii is definitely NOT a gimmick and this game will prove it by showing that regular controllers are obsolete.

-Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - You must wave the Wiimote vigorously to advance text boxes.

-Virtua Fighter 6 - The first Wii game to REQUIRE 4 Wiimotes, and that's just for one player!  One Wiimote is strapped to the ends of each arm and each leg.  The player pulls off moves onscreen by pulling them off in real life!

Yeah!

I can't help thinking of a sequel to Sin & Punishment. With the nunchuck to move your character and the remote for aiming, it would make the controls a lot easier to get to grips to for those with challenged coordination  :P Of course this leads on to all sorts of Space Harrier speculation though Space Harrier with an aiming reticle may not seem right.

Agree about Rez as well, very similar style to both S&P and SH.

What I'd like to see is a one-on-one weapons fighting game of some kind. Imagine a Soul Calibur-type of game for the Wiimote.
There's one being made that might be out in Japan, it's called Bleach.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

I think the problem is I put up veritiy and you seemed to not like that too much because it didn't fall inline with what you had wanted to see.

I was kinda aiming at games that would be an ideal match for the Wii remote.

Problem with that comment is that any of the game types I metioned could be perfect for the Wii remote if done right, and not everyones ideas are going to fall in line with yours. They could just as easily make a "SW Jedi Light Saber Battle For the Dark Force Rising of the Hand of Trawn" and the programming could end up being done poorly and the game ends up sucking. This could happen to any game made for the Wii,no matter how original a title or how much a clone of another type a game it is.

And the Star Wars game, its been done before:

Good job at renaming the thread btw but the thing is ANY TYPE of game, any type of genre could be perfectly done for the Wii remote if the games implementation is done well and with some solid programming, along with good visuals and sound that work with that to make you feel its more interactive..

Yea another anime based fighter. Sega handled it. I thought it was released already in Japan. They may release it here if the animes fan base is good.

Ha ha, that's great! When I first read "require 4 wiimotes, I thought "yeah - for one player, hehehe" and that's exactly what it said.  Wouldn't be surprised if it actually happened, this is Nintendo we're talking about after all.

Yea really, strap one to each ankle and for arm,and look as stupid as possible. Considering past efforts with the power pad and stuff, yea I could see them do something like that.

Final Lap Wii (RRPG) -- Racing RPG. A solid, arcade racing game + RPG hybrid. Offering more than simple parts management, I envision a career mode that involves massive exploration, floating mystical racetracks, puzzles, side quests, plot twists, etc. Your character ages (limited career) and can DIE in a fiery roadside accident! No save points, just an obituary in the Wii Journal. However, to avoid frustration, the spirit / ghost / soul of your character can be resurrected and find a new host. Of course, the process of finding a new host is not clearly spelled out in the manual and you must delve into the netherworld of magic to, hopefully, find your passage to blood and flesh.

The Wiimote would be perfect for performing witchcraft rituals.

For the folks who would be more interested in the RPG elements, there would be an "I suck at arcade racing games" mode... but this mode has to be unlocked by performing some ridiculous RPG-heavy tasks. As I envision it, RPG'ers would unlock this special mode at the same point that the arcade racing segments would get significantly more challenging.

Of course, folks could always opt for the more challenging racing.

I think Nintendo should just make an Activator attachment for the Wiimote, it would make this game easier to control!

Plump Pop. A new version with the arcade classic included. Both remote compatible.

Other Arkanoidy Breakout games might be cool enough, but Plump Pop is one of the greatest games ever made and one where the Wii remote might actually be useful.

5. ) Shining Force - A new Shining Force would be great, especially since you could just point-and-click to where your troops go in battle.

Shining Force is dead and Sega raped its still decaying corpse.  Let us not speak of this again. :-#

Well, if the originator gets the VC treatment, it'd be cool to have optional wavy Wii remote support.

Yeah, the vs. mode would get pretty intense!  Or maybe not...  Instead of cool looking martial arts moves you saw in previous VFs, you'd just get the sloppy "fighting" you'd see in amateur night boxing.
