Yeah you're definitely the only one.  You need to say "I love Insector X & Timeball but hate Capcom!" in the same sentence so I can use it as a sig.
I would say that, but I'm afraid I don't like Timeball :( .

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

i liked capcom the best between their beginning in 1984 until 1994. they made some extremely beautiful games in any aspects of view. especially on their CPS1 board and its pre-hardware, just to mention some of the top notch titles:

- 1984 (serie)
- makaimura / ghosts'n goblins
- gunsmoke
- legendary wings / ares no tsubasa
- commando / senjo no okami
- daimakimura / ghouls'n ghosts
- final fight
- SFII (', turbo)

and as well as bunch of great exclusive FC/SFC etc. games.

but for myself, i also hate the rockman series to no end and will do that probably to the end of my poor life.

I do enjoy playing a beat'em up on CPS1 or 2 every now, mainly Cadillacs and Dinosaurs :D .

i hate it coz its miserable gameplay. for example i hate it when you killed an enemy, which is placed to the most difficult place where you just can place an enemy to kill, then slide back only a single pixel and this damn muthaf*cka is there again. houly doublecrossin' f*ck.
and they never learned about their misstakes from their previous parts and did it again and again. therefore i learnd to hate this serie and just can't stop hating it.

Not to mention there are six of the same game on the NES and they didn't bother adding a shoot up option :) . And it doesn't stop there either! ;)

I enjoy Mega Man 2 lots and lots.  I somewhat enjoy Mega Man 1 and 3.  I don't care for any other Mega Man game.

I enjoy all the original MM games, but, 7 was eh, 8 was ok, as was MM & B.  The X series is cool, except 7 which sucks for the most part, I haven't gotten into the Zero series, I have it, but, I don't know if I'll ever enjoy it.  I have the Legends games, they're cool I guess, haven't played thru them.  The Battle Network ones don't do a damn thing for me.  But, now I LOVE the ZX series, it's Mega Man, & it's Metroidesque!  I got sucked into the first game, can't wait for the next!

Hmm, most of the stuff I enjoy from Capcom, is old school, there's not much these days that pleases me from them.  Frankly, Konami has been one of the most consisten companies IMO, they've been delivering nice games to my door for all these years.  They're not Falcom, nor are they Mindrec or Frozen Utopia, but, hey, you can only be soo good

I can hardly imagine someone hating a company that produced classic games like the SF II, the 1942 or the Makaimura series. There was a time when I played through their Daimakaimura port for the SGFX three times a day. Capcom 大好き!!

Dead Rising is really cool.  Lost Planet is cool as well, but I don't want to pay $60 for that.  I'll get it when it goes down to around $40 or so.

that's harsh; what about it was so bad?
Everything! :P The story, the music, the characters, the graphics, the gameplay, the level design, the battle system the "feeling". I can't think of a single good thing about it, and I have no idea why I even bothered to play it (of course, I never finished it). Fortunately, I'll never touch it again. Looking forward to that.

Also: Dead Rising, Lost Planet (or whatever) .. those are your typical Capcom games. Can't they ever come up with anything new? All they do is action games that are super cool to 12 year olds. I don't understand how anyone can like them. I don't even like their "classics" like Ghosts 'n Goblins, 1942, etc. Just terrible! ](*,)
