Anyone got a spare Saturn?
« on: May 21, 2007, 05:07:55 PM »
I just picked up a copy of Dark Savior, the only game I really enjoy on the Saturn, but I don't actually have a Saturn anymore. Anyone got an extra one they wanna sell? :)

Are you looking for a great condition shell, or don't really care?  I have a tons of extra ones lying around from a batch that I bought some time ago, but the shells have some minor scuffs on them.

I can sell you one cheap, especially if you don't need any a/v or power cables (though in your case, it sounds like you do).

I would need the A/V cable I believe, since I'm pretty sure they were still going the stupid proprietary way back then. Isn't the power cable standard though? I seem to remember it being one of those funky boombox-like power cords, just a straight cable into the machine with no adapters in-between...or I might be thinking of something else. As for condition...if it works, that's all I care about. :) I'm not concerned with how it looks. How cheap is cheap? :D Also, got any controllers? I don't have any anymore...

If you want the latest beta (not available to public) of the latest SSF emulator, let me know. It's practically perfect by now, but it requires some juice (SSE3-capable CPU rated at at least 3500+ and at least a Geforce 6600GT video card).

Yeah, the a/v cable is proprietary.  The power cord is just as you described - just a standard cord.  It's just like the ones that fit the old gray Playstation 1 models.  (you can swap between the two).  I do have couple extra controllers (all in decent shape).

SYSTEM1
Model 1 Saturn: some scuffs on the shell, installed US-JP region switch between controller port.

SYSTEM2
Another model 1 Saturn, no region switch (completely stock).  Some scuffs on the shell.

SYSTEM3
Model 2 saturn, US-JP region switch installed next to cart slot.  Shell in pretty good shape.

PM me an offer I can't refuse. :P They'd be shipped out from Canada.
