I agree with Black Tiger.  Its something I felt since Sony became king of the consoles is that any software company can put shit out and it sells..  Sega used to make great games but no one was buying them on the 32X, Saturn or Dreamcast.. now they make shit on playstation/nintendo/xbox consoles they sell!!!

I would take Joe's advice with a grain of salt if I were all of you.

Blue Dragon has been getting huge praises from those who have played the actual game.  Besides, the big three who worked on Chrono Trigger have worked on this game.  I personally can't wait.

Names don't make the games. Case in point: my wife picked up FF7: Dirge Of Cerberus a couple of weeks ago, and the other day, I finally got a chance to play it. It was the biggest load of SHIT game I've seen in years. Overcomplicated, poorly-designed piece of garbage that's a total insult to the greatness that was FF7. Just because it's based on FF7 doesn't mean it was good. So, good name doesn't equate good game. Good designers can make shitty games.

True.  Yuzo Koshiro does great music, right?  But wait!  Listen to Streets of Rage 3, Beyond Oasis, ActRaiser 2, etc and it sounds like he's on drugs due to the random notes and weak composition.  Fortunately he went to rehab and is good again.  Blue Dragon is about as boring as your typical Final Fantasy game.... EXTREMELY!

I didn't know he did the music for Actraiser 2. I knew it wasn't the same as whoever did the first, as the style is VERY different...but the tunes aren't all that bad, and a couple of them are quite memorable, really. Have to agree for SOR3 though.

Now, the music for Actraiser 1 was genius. FF7: Dirge Of Cerberus was only good for the continuation of the Advent Children in some ways. It wasn't all that horrible, but not all that great either. The aiming system makes it feel like a PC 1st person game. No wonder there was a keyboard/mouse control picture inside the manual.

Plus, all sequel/side quest Final Fantasy games come out half-assed anyway. Remember FF: X-2, what a great way to turn away fans of the series in the US. Japanese gamers of all ages can handle silly non serious girly shit, but not any guy that is of the age of 18 or up in the US. I would be embarrassed to have some dude I know walk in my house and seeing me play it for crying out loud. FF:XII was a comeback since I really like the FF: Tactics and Ogre Battle team's work. Anyways, I am going to fire up Dragon Force for the Saturn. I am in tha mooooood-e.

The only Sonic music Yuzo ever did was for the first SMS version of the game.  Michiru Yamane was responsible for both DS Castlevania iterations and I have no clue what Module Mania even is.  Also, have you heard Wangan Midnight 2 or Shenmue?

back to mistwalker games did you also see the trailer for lost odyssey which is using the unreal 3 engine? (although I was wondering about the jerky frame rate in some of those scenes >.<)   I think this could turn out to be better than blue dragon but the character designs .. me no like much
