for a couple of years now, i've been trying hard to track down a copy of the hudson best vol. 3 pc-genjin (for ps2 or gamecube).  but, alas, to no avail.  i can't seem to find a copy a n y w h e r e...  not even on ebay...

have any of you ever managed to run across a purchasable copy of the game?  i'd love to own it.

My friend bought it when it first came out. Its much better than the Adventure Island one, IMO, but still pretty pointless.

It can't be that hard to find since it was released on GC, and PS2, and even re-printed for PS2. Its also not that great, so I can't imagine that many people would be be reluctant to trade it in. Just keep looking.

Well if it HAS to be PURCHASABLE, I could SELL you an ISO via PAYPAL...

J/K as per the usual I have no idea WTF you're talking about.

I've been looking for this one too, specifically, the GameCube version.

Probably for about 2 years too, like CosMind. I've never once seen one for sale. Anywhere. Not even a PS2 version, which would be useless to me anyway, but still.

really?  wow, i've heard nothing but how amazing it is.  you're the first negative comment i've ever heard about it.

It's a good game, I bought mine from Play Asia a couple years ago.  Did you try emailing NCSX or Play Asia to see if they could maybe special order it or  something?

Well, that may be true, but the thing was everywhere when it was new. It languished at NCS for quite some time, and even was a Weekly Special at Play Asia (I think). Chances are its hard to find just because nobody considered it worth selling. It was a budget title in the first place, and not very popular, so since even a great GC game goes for $15 these days, something like this is probably worth...not much. I'm sure there are cases of unsold stock of this game, especially the PS2 version. It'll turn up.

Well, I wouldn't say I'm negative about this title specifically, I just don't see the point in these creepy, lifeless 3D remakes of games. In this case the re-make itself is above average, but since the original game isn't that great anyway...I guess I would say that I seriously can't see myself playing this game all the way through as long as I live. If you love Bonk, then go for it. Seriously though, who actually loves Bonk?

Either way, its not "amazing", or anything like it whatever. I would describe it as "competent".

I love Bonk. Bonk is my favorite time-waster platformer ever, aside from maybe Mario. It's a tough call which I prefer, depends on my mood I suppose. Even though the second two games were superior in almost every way to the first, Bonk's Adventure has a certain entertaining charm that will never get old. Could possibly have a lot to do with nostalgia.

Either way, I've been trying to find the GameCube remake for ages. You would think it would have to appear on eBay sometime. But no.

Yeah, I found mine on ebay, right when it was released.  I'd still like to pick up Adventure Island.  However, if no one has mentioned it here, as I haven't read all your posts.  It sounds like it might be released for the Wii soon, for $15.  As there's been a mysterious Bonk's Adventure listing for Wii for retail(not the VC).

you can actually still score the ps2 rev of that game on the cheap (around 20 bones) from play-asia.  if you're quick...

I got the Bonk, New Adventure Island, and Super Star Soldier when they were released.  I enjoyed the Bonk game even if the graphics were a bit freakish.  Gameplay was fine.

I LOVE the Bonk games, especially Revenge.  Played the hell out of them as a kid when they first came out and still play them today.  To me it's just a generally fun franchise and the characters are enjoyable.  Everyone that thinks other wise can pick which side of my ass to kiss.
