Yeah, GnG is ridiculously hard, but very addicting. What is crappy about that game is that though there is a lot of skill involved in that game, there is an equal amount of luck that is needed to make it through. For example, you HAVE to get the shield (or the crucifix, which I've never seen) to beat the final boss. If you beat the boss with any other weapon than the shield you get put back to the start of the previous level.

Plus you have to beat the game not once, but TWICE!!!

hehe
I have not beat the game yet. I haven't even gotten through the first run through before you get sent back to level one.

Sinistar was a stupidly hard game as well, but again addicting as all heck. I used to get scared when the Sinistar would utter his threats to me and my little mining ship.

Here's a link with all of Sinistar's lovely scare tactics. I still get chills hearing them. heh
http://onastick.net/drew/sinistar/But as for a game I truly hate? That would have to be Winter Games for the NES (though it was out for the Commodore 64 and other systems). What a waste of money, time and space that game is. The only event worth any while is the speed skating. The ski jumping was on to something good, but fell flat on its face. The bobsled event was mind bogglingly terrible. This game really isn't even worth checking out just to see how bad it is. But it managed to fool me in the store with pics from the back of the box.
Though I guess Winter Games isn't exactly "popular". lol
