My contributions to "The Silent Rob Project".
« on: September 01, 2007, 04:50:14 AM »
The project's already completed, so don't bother submitting anything, but here's three titles I contributed. Three of the WORST games I ever played:

If there were PSOne ROMs and a PSOne emulator that let you record videos, I would've looked for a ROM of "Gundam Battle Assault" and submitted that, because that game was BAD. You were Heero, and you were up against characters from the other Gundam Universes, and Heero's got like 9 or 12 different Gundams he can pick from at the beginning. Of course I always pick WING GUNDAM, because Heero never piloted any of those other crappy mobile suits.

Dragon's Lair appreciation. Again.

Krusty's Fun House is widely regarded as the only good simpsons game for the consoles.

Gundam: The Battle Master is a f*cking great series. I don't know what you are on about. The graphics are completely amazing multi-jointed stuff that is not just good for Bandai, but good for anyone. The Battle Master, IMO, marked the beginning of Bandai making not just anime cash-in crap, but actually good stuff like they seem to do all the time now. I think you are talking about the first US release, but while the US releases are quite a bit different from the JP ones I can't imagine they changed it that much. If you can play as Heero, they obviously did something to it. Gundam Wing is total f*cking crap so that alone would have been a negative, but still, I think you are nuts.

I'm actually getting kind of sick of the new school critic of old games they just discovered. It kind of pisses me off. Have you played f*cking Fantastic Four for PS? If you have then you'd consider something like a Battle Master game above criticism.

Gundam Wing was awesome! What do you mean? In fact, Gundam Wing, Seed, and the original Mobile Suit Gundam are the only GOOD Gundam shows.

Dragon's Lair appreciation. Again.

I haven't played the other two games, but Krusty's Fun House was awesome.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Gundam Wing was awesome! What do you mean? In fact, Gundam Wing, Seed, and the original Mobile Suit Gundam are the only GOOD Gundam shows.

Seed and Wing are just terrible. Basically team 5 pretty boy idiocy where the good guys have huge friggn guns and slaughter dozens of enemy MS in one shot with zero effort. Heero wears the same f*cking outfit in virtually every single frame of animation the entirely of G Wing like he was Fred Flintstone or something. Seed has terrible character designs, and ugly as hell CG ships. Both Wing and Seed seem to appeal to the same people; fans of T.M. Revolution and whatever.

The MS in Seed sound like they were named by George Bush.

If you think the original show is good, which it is, than it only seems logical you'd like Zeta (the best G series), and Char's Counter Attack as well as 0080, and 0083 since they are quite similar. I can forgive a person for not liking ZZ, G, or F91, or even Victory, but Char's Counterattack and Zeta are just about the best thing ever. Gorgeous mecha, cool as ice characters, and a tragedy in every episode.

Char's Counterattack is the only movie to keep me puzzled longer than Blade Runner did. I first saw it 15 years ago, and I still don't understand it...and I still wish I did. I love it.

Agreed i couldn't stand gundam wing..and i see gundam seed as half-baked as well.

Give me the UC time line that's only period of gundam that i like.

Beside starting with the original serise mobile suit gundam. I prefer it more due to how gritty it is since it shows how dirty a war can get.

I love how in the Krusty's fun house video the guy complains about "You have to get the block FIRST then get the items!" like it's some kind of design snafu when the whole point of the game is solving those kind of puzzles.  I'd love to see him review lemmings or The Lost Vikings, "This is so lame, you have to figure out how to get your guys to the exit! This makes no sense!??! Worst game ever!"

Haha, jeez is the video that bad? I haven't even watched it yet. Hopefully it's not another Angry Nintendo Nerd wannabe.

The NES version of Krusty's Fun House turned out a lot better than I expected. :)

If you don't like KFH, then stay away from Ghost Manor. :P
