Getting raw data onto/off of a disc is one thing; turning it into pretty, hi-def video is quite another.

True, decoding hardware isn't free, nor is it exorbitantly expensive (look at Oppo's top notch DVD players for proof).

I tried it out last night and it is indeed Strider 2. The crappy part is that I bought it as a loose disc described as the 'bonus disc containing the arcade original' that was supposed to have been 'tested'. :(
