PC-FX games new(ish) discoveries??
« on: January 16, 2008, 02:49:47 PM »
Dark Chaser PC-FX

So these types of disks can be played on CD-i, 3D0, and PC-FX?

Are they just photo disks, or something a bit ..... more?

I believe it is a photo CD.

looking at the backs of some of these other items, it looks like they play on Hi-Saturn and Kodak Photo viewer or something like that..

Anyone else try any of these, if only I had a PC-FX still I would drop $5 each on some of these oddities... they actually look cool!

Those are up all the time on eBay.

Maybe I'll buy one just for you TurboStar and give a report.

But not right now.

Yeah dude, it's a Kodak Photo CD then. Practically everything plays them. Wasn't there some sort of dedicated set-top box to play them as well?

Not just 1, but many models of stand alone players.  Pretty scary huh?

I always wanted to try out one of those Kodak CDs ever since I got my PC-FX! Kinda like CD+Gs (which I eventually got to try!)

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).
