Personally I have mine on top of a bookshelf, which is in the hallway of my Apt.  Such that when people walk in, it is often the first thing they see.  On top of the bookshelf, most people can play comfortably because I have removed the bottom 2 shelves on it, so you kinda stand inside the bookshelf when you play.

Usually on the table, but no VB game has been engrossing enough for me to play it more than 10 minutes at a time.

Does your library lack a copy of Warioland?  That game is awesome.  I am sure it would keep your attention for more than 10 minutes.

My library consists of Tennis and Galactic Pinball.  It is so deprived.  I got the system and both of those games for $17 total at a thrift store a little over a year ago.

I use my virtual boy at my computer desk. I love the red bastard, haha. I've been engrossed in Mario's Tennis many times. Panic Bomber has also gotten a lot of play time from me! As far as Telero Boxer goes; I can't beat the second dude :x. I've yet to acquire Mario Clash and Wario Land :(.

You should find a cheap lot of games sometime.  Many of the games are at least amusing, even if they are not all that good.  Some of the games really are good too.  The Tetris game is a total dissapointment though for it's lack of 3D use in the gameplay.  You at the very least need red alarm, vertical force and warioland to enjoy the system.

You need to have one of those radio DJ mic stands that flexes all over the place and attach it to that.

I love many aspects of the VB, I really like 3D a lot (I even own Spy Kids 3D on DVD, which is a total POS) and I like the VBs controller quite a bit. It just killed my neck though. Huge problem. A system killer for me. People played it until their eyes hurt, supposedly, or they got headaches. Personally my neck couldn't take it long enough to experience those problems.

Don't you guys get sick playing it?  I tried to play Wario to completion years ago and got headaches and felt like I was going to throw up, neck cramps were the least of the problems I had with the system.  I always thought it would have been a cool idea if it had come out 10 years later 10x smaller and with actual color, the technology to make it cool was just way too expensive at the time.

I ususally play it on a table-  or I found it sort of relaxing to play on my back while resting the VB on my face with its legs resting on my chest.  <--

But then when your done playing you have this insane red ring around half of my face-  I must take pix the next time I do that.

I mostly play Wario or Panic Bomber as both of them are amazing!!  Of course you must play with Headphones to get the total 3D feel.

Or like   (Cheap plug)

Just on a table or actually..I remember that relaxing lay down with it on your face oh so sexy style, yeh that was nice!, but I haven't played it in years. We cant use the ac adapter (either the Jap. or usa one) in the u.k, so you have to get a stepdown. I didn't have a stepdown converter, but since I got another Pc engine I do. But um, I dont have an ac adapter anyway. So it was always batteries, its too expensive. I only have mario tennis and a golf game. I should buy more sometime. I always wanted teleroboxer and vertical force!

I talk so much junk.  :-"

The best place for a virtual boy (and, incidentally, the place where it will cause the least neck damage) is in the trash can.

I lie down on my back with the virtual boy lying on my face (stand resting on my chest).  It's quite comfortable...  (I might have fallen asleep once or twice).
