P.S.-troll: I've beaten Dragon Force

Jeez.  I own the game and can't really figure it out.  I guess I could try and read the manual, but I am illiterate!

I just resorted to Xiphas teaching me how to play it.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

It's honestly not that hard, it's actually pretty easy.  :?

I've beaten it with every character, even the useless ones.  Yes, I'm looking at you Gongos and Teiris!

I just select a whole bunch of commands and then my people run around aimlessly for 5 minutes and then it is game over.  Surely there is more to the game than this?  It's not really "pick up and play".  Surely it is damn hilarious, though, since the world's top comedian Vic Ireland wrote much of the script.  Right?  Right?

You know it!  More Christie Love and poop jokes than you can shake a stick at!

You just suck, Joe.  Sorry.  Although to be fair, the hardest part of the game is the very beginning and the very end.

So you're saying I should pay attention to what I select in the menus?  Who the hell is Christy Love?

I had no idea until I looked it up.

It is a blaxploitation movie.  The reference is constantly made by a black guy character.  Oh, Victor!

The hard part about Dragon Force was learning how to play the game! After that, it's pretty easy 8) . I wonder if Mahjong is like that too?

Again, why the hell would I care about a company that I don't own?

Okay, the troll has gone away for the time being, so I feel like I can reply without encouraging the little shit.

The reason you should care about a company you do not own is simple:

you do not live in a vacuum.

I'll explain. Imagine you like comics. At first, you go to the obvious, nearest comic book store. Let's say, hypothetically*, Ground Zero comics. The manager is named, hypothetically, Dave.
Dave is a dick. Frequently. he pulls the old "this isn't a library"; he sells prizes intended to be given away to customers; he steals stuff and blames employees; but mostly it's just bad customer service, because he's a dick.
So you start going to other comic book stores. None are perfect, of course, but some are better than others.
One, hypothetically, is called tenthpenny, run by a hypothetical guy, Mark, who is awesome.
Sadly, people didn't go to his store enough; people didn't talk up his store enough; people didn't care enough.
And it went away.

That is why you should care about companies you don't own. If you don't, things they have, make, or do will not be there anymore, and you'll have little choice but to go to the bad old places again.

*by 'hypothetically' I mean 'absolutely true story.'

The dudes at the comic book store know better than to be a dick to me. I'll change into my super hero form and destroy them

So hypothetically, could they trace it if you put a nailbomb on Dave's doorstep?

I got about as far as you Joe. My brother loved it through and has been naming his character in games Goldark ever since.
