Again, why the hell would I care about a company that I don't own?
Okay, the troll has gone away for the time being, so I feel like I can reply without encouraging the little shit.
The reason you should care about a company you do not own is simple:
you do not live in a vacuum.
I'll explain. Imagine you like comics. At first, you go to the obvious, nearest comic book store. Let's say, hypothetically
*, Ground Zero comics. The manager is named, hypothetically, Dave.
Dave is a dick. Frequently. he pulls the old "this isn't a library"; he sells prizes intended to be given away to customers; he steals stuff and blames employees; but mostly it's just bad customer service, because he's a dick.
So you start going to other comic book stores. None are perfect, of course, but some are better than others.
One, hypothetically, is called tenthpenny, run by a hypothetical guy, Mark, who is awesome.
Sadly, people didn't go to his store enough; people didn't talk up his store enough; people didn't care enough.
And it went away.
That is why you should care about companies you don't own. If you don't, things they have, make, or do will not be there anymore, and you'll have little choice but to go to the bad old places again.
*by 'hypothetically' I mean 'absolutely true story.'
