Im not really in it to make money, really just grow my collection.  I never played Shenmue, I loved my Game Gear back in the day, and I can trade my Gennys for new stuff.  So much extra stuff if it comes down to it I can sell it.  The two N64's alone make up most of my cost if I should choose to sell.  The controllers go for stupid money now, God knows why.  Same with Master system stuff, crazy expensive IMHO.

Cool Pick up Evo.  I might be interested in a bit of the genny stuff if you don't get rid of it right away.  I've had some luck with some local people like this.  I wonder from time to time if some of it's stolen though with some of these guys.
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

Excellent score man!  I've had dreams about meeting "The guy in the parking lot" that just wants $100-$200 for a GIANT library of consoles and games like that!  Congrats!

I'm currently in the market for a Genesis Model 1 if you want to work something out.

Check that older Genesis - see if it has n FCC ID of FJ846EUSASEGA which indicates a non-TMSS console (with the better sound chip).

Are the Wind Waker HD LEs still available, or were they very limited?

I'm pretty sure they are sold out at this point.  There was a limited restock on Gamestop.com a couple weeks before release, but they sold out too.  I tried to PM a couple members who had sounded like they were interested, but this was the same time PCEFX went down so I had to try other channels somewhat unsuccessfully.

Might and Magic:

I have been waiting VERY patiently for a good condition copy of MM for genny.
How is the book in there?  That's the problem, every one I find is either missing the book or its horribly tattered.

It's actually in pretty nice shape.  Not mint, and you can tell it was used, but the binding is still holding everything together fine.  I got lucky grabbing this from Beemer, I had wanted a copy with the manual for awhile as well too, especially since it's so thick.  And there are color illustrations in it too!

that is one nice find for the ram cart, boxed and complete like that!  I have a loose one myself and even those are hard to come by.  they're a must for games like Shining Force 2 (my fav).  anyway congrats on the awesome nab.... how much did you pay for it if you dont mind me asking?

I got a lot of cool stuff this week already!

Then something I got on ebay:

2013-10-07 Pickups - Sega CD Backup Ram Cart by xelement5x, on Flickr
A fully boxed Sega CD Backup RAM Cart in the nicest condition I have ever seen.  Also comes with the original Funcoland receipt from 1995.  This is pretty much one of the last Sega CD related items I've been missing, and I waited a long time before finally picking this one up since I've been a stickler about condition.  I've had a loose cart since the late 90s though that I bought at Media Play.

Ehehe, I'd been holding out for quite awhile for one in nice shape so it cost me.  Loose ram carts seem to go around $35, and I paid $60 shipped for that minty one I found.  Quite a lot for me to drop on an older game item, but they're really pretty uncommon compared to most stuff, and I'd been watching ebay for maybe 6 months looking for one in that condition.  I'm a big Sega/Mega CD fan so this was one of those items I'd put off that I wanted for my collection.  Interestingly, the box for the ram cart seems to be taller than even the plastic longboxes, so I need to modify my shelves for it!

I don't get why the FCC ID is a big deal, an even easier way to tell non-TMSS consoles apart from ones that have it is to look for the patent numbers, which are on a silver or white strip on that sticker. From my experience every single Genesis that didn't have the patent numbers did not have TMSS.

it makes me laugh because people are like I REMEMBER PLAYIN THAT BACK IN THE DAY, MAN THAT WAS FUN.

and then I go "yeah I remember playing that 2 days ago because I still have my SNES, retard"

Yeah no problem, I have 4 model 1's right now so hit me up with a pm and I'll put together a package for you.  I have many doubles in games as well if your looking for commons.

When I get home today I'll check to see if my new model 1 is non tmss

Dud you never know, I may be feeling nostalgic one day and hook it up to a 13 inch via RF and see what all this dithering is about.
