Well just as the title says, state any and all games for any console, handheld, pc, or any other gaming capable device that are regarded as "crap" by most but you love to play.

As of right now the first game that comes to mind is Double Dungeons. I know even when we got the game back in 90 something my dad and brother hated it, but I just couldn't seem to get enough of it, I dunno why really.

So what about everyone else? Please share your favorite "crap" games.

Creature Shock: I believe IGN said "The only thing shocking about this game was that it was actually made"
Sewer Shark: I play the 3DO version at home and I play Sega CD version via my PSP when on the go.
Star Blade: It's the CD game that wants to be an LD.  The game streams the polygons from a datatrack which is basically a CBR or constant bitrate stream, then other more complex video data like large ships and explosions are pre-rendered as video.  Why is it so much like a LD game?  Maybe because there is are dual LD variants of it which existed for public play!  It's a very fun rail shooter though and your pilot actually tells you where and how he is going to fly, which is wonderful for knowing how to aim next.

I started a similar thread a while back that no longer exists. I didn't have "crappy" as a requirement though and I wouldn't call Double Dungeons crappy.

I can't think of any games I'd actually label crappy that I also love to play, but here are some that are unpopular to at least some people but I still get enjoyment out of one way or another-

Night Creatures
Shadow Man -even the Playstation version
JJ & Jeff
Wardner

Halo 2 -multiplayer
Gladiator
Donkey Kong 3

Super Mario Bros 2 aka The Lost Levels
Deadly Towers
Keith Courage
Space Adventure Cobra

Daytona USA Saturn -not the CCE or whatever
Kung Fu Kid
House of the Dead Saturn
Doom 32X
Ys SMS
Space Hawk INTV
Lucienne's Quest
Mystara/Blazing Heroes

In that same vein:

Bonk 3 - Most consider it inferior to the other two, but not this cowboy.
Grand Theft Auto (all of 'em)
Pac-Man (2600) - I didn't care how different it was from the arcade; I still loved it.

the Virtual On series. Fighting game players hate it because of its nonstandard control scheme, FPS players hate it because of auto-targeting, and both refuse to acknowledge that it's even in their genre. I think it's one of the best arcade games ever made. (though some of the console ports have sucked.)

Earthbound. Screw what the Final Fanboys have to say, Earthbound is the best RPG for the SNES. While I've yet to encounter someone who says it's crap, the game went over like a lead balloon back in the day.

Granted, these are both games the general public has ignored, rather than outright berated.

"Fun is a strong word." - SNK
"Today, people do all kind of shit." - Tatsujin

Earthbound was EXPENSIVE with it came out.  I only bought it because ShopKo went out of business in our town and I was able to get it for like 80 dollars - 40%.  A friend of mine who went there too got Shining force IV which was like 105 dollars - 40%.  Sweet deals back in the day.

Earthbound may have by and large been ignored bitd, but now a days I would say it has more than acheived cult status at least.

I bought Earthbound as soon as it came out, played through it at least a dozen times and sent away for the special prize (turned out to be a pizza scented air freshener).

Even though I'm not fan(that's all I'll say), all I've ever read about it since it came out have been over the top praise.

And this after making a list that includes King of Casino.  Black Tiger explained his reasoning, which I borrowed; isn't that enough?

P.S. - No need to point out the apostrophe in Ys on the SMS as if it didn't belong there.  Take a peak at a copy of the game sometime and you'll find it staring back at you.

Don't worry, Necromancer.  My comments here and in the ICFTD thread are good-natured.  I just like the ambiguity of leaving the winky face out of my posts once in a while.

I highlighted the Y's punctuation because BT left it out.  I'm a big fan of the Y's apostrophe (if such a thing is possible) and plan to emphasize it from this day forth as a proud expression of my SMS heritage.  :D
For realz.

Pheww!  Thank God, I was getting pretty worried there for a bit.
