Not a bad price for a game like that.  Looks like something to look foward to. :)

Sorry, but I don't see your library card on the books of Ys.  Now, RETURN THEM TO ME!!!

It's the Japanese public that hate the 360, but, apparently not the developers #-o

I just picked this up last night. Got the only copy in town, out of four stores. I must say, this is one hell of a deal for $20. Three Raiden Fighters games, TONS of tweaks and options to customise the experience, and supposedly, some unlockable 'perfect game' videos.

On top of that, the games play beautifully. Raiden is one of the last holdouts of the type of shooter we all know and love on the PC Engine: the kind where blowing stuff up is the main point, not pulling of tricks like in Ikaruga or whatever. I dislike the newer style trick/score shooters that are more about chaining combos and gimmicks. I want lazers, bombs, explosions, and giant bosses, and lots of them!

This fits the bill nicely, and underneath the hood is a very clever (and unobtrusive) scoring system that adds quite a bit of depth if you are going for a high score.

Great value, and I think this one might end up being rather uncommon. Pick it up if you can. This is the best stateside shooter release since Gradius V and R-Type Final.

Yeah I just recently picked it up as well.  I only had to go to 3 stores to find it though.  :P  I also agree with everything you mentioned.  I still love the gimmicky CAVE shooters though.  For 20 bucks this is more than worth it!  Just don't buy it used cause for some reason Gamestop wants 24 used and 19.99 New.  Haha don't ask me why. http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?sku=200643

this is an amazing pack.  raiden fighters jet alone would be worth the tag.  it's my favorite game in the raiden series by a long shot.
getting the first and second game packed in with it is amazing bonus.

hopefully, this is a start of a trend of all the 360 shooters from japan getting localized (there are tons of rad ones already out there, and even more coming).
fingers triple-crossed.

The Japanese public love Bill Gates.  He makes PC's for the Hentai fans! No Bill Gates means no H-Games for the Japanese.  They'd have to start porting them to Macs.  Anyways...the Raiden Fighters Aces pack rocks.  Anyone wanna start posting highscores that have this game?

confirmed?  i have the option to snatch up either the japanese version or the north american version.  i'd prefer to get the na version so that all the menu/options text is legible, but if it doesn't retain vertical display support then i'd rather go with the japanese version (i'm sure i can deal with the untranslated menus).

Its North American publisher's website states that it supports "full-screen vertical scrolling on a rotated display".
