Waku Waku Puyo Puyo Dungeon is a lot of fun, and easy to play even if you don't know any Japanese.

Quote
It should have been released in 1989 (as a Mega Drive launch title or something) instead of 1998 (last Saturn title ever) though.. That game is SO after its time.

Puyo Puyo Dungeon is hardly the last Saturn game. It's not even the last Puyo Puyo RPG game on Saturn. :D Madou Monogatari for Saturn came out in after Puyo Puyo Dungeon in 1998. It plays more like a regular console RPG though. Heck, the last Saturn game didn't come out until 2000 or 2001. Can't remember if it was Final Fight Revenge or a multi-disc adventure game whose name escapes me right now.

BTW, there's a port of the first Madou Monogatari game for PC Engine. I haven't been able to get a copy yet since it comes up rarely on ePay, and the price is always more than I'm willing to pay.

I think it was Final Fight Revenge. Either that or it was Capcom's final Saturn release.

Is that so? Had no idea. I read it on some website and just assumed they were correct.

Madoh monogatari is really crappy. The Saturn "version" is entirely different from the others in the series. Madoh monogatari for PC Engine is a port of the first game in the series (originated on the MSX2). The best ports in my opinion are the Game Gear ones.

But really, Madoh monogatari are terrible games.  :P

Dude the Saturn Madoh Monogatari is f*cking AWESOME, it's the only Japanese language RPG I've ever beaten.

All the Guilty Gear players in Richmond and in my hometown (20 minutes south of Richmond) all upgraded from GGXX#Reload to GGXX Slash.

We were up all night playing it to death. Order Sol is a tight character. I wonder if there's any word on if that Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star fighter will come on PS2 this year.

Never really got into Guilty Gear, but Fist of the North Star is pretty cool.  The fighting system is a little too complicated for my tastes, but I like to watch people battle it out in order to connect with their super finisher combo. :)

Lately I've been playing through Cosmic Fantasy 2 but right before that I managed to beat Spriggan Mark 2.  Spriggan mk2 has a lot of dialogue in it.  A lot more than most (all?) shooters.  It's not that hard on the normal setting but some parts can get tough.  Pretty good game overall.

How is final fight revenge?  Also, is there a way to get this game for less than $100?  On the japanese video game websites and ebay it seems to be up there in price.  Is this because only limited quantities were produced?
What a horrible night to have a curse...

The masses bad mouth it, but I personally like it as cheesy as it looks. May be a SFEX clone but still has the elements of a FF game, such as using weapons, and the super moves look pretty funny. When a super move involves broken bones, it'll randomly flash cool looking X-Ray pictures of bone fractures.

I haven't paid attention to the value of it much though. I got mine for 30 dollars from a anime convention 4 years ago.

I would really love to buy Final Fight Revenge but it looks like it lack a bit of "meat" in the game......   maybe one day I'll get lucky and snap it up if I see it cheap...

Right now Playing Grandia on the Saturn... I'm still impress with this even by todays 3D standards..

I just bought my copy 3 weeks ago and can't seem to put down. I think the game far surpasses the previous installments, including RE2 which used to be my favorite.

Tron, how much have you completed?
I already beaten normal, professional, and separate ways. I've moved on to Assignment Ada but it's tearing me apart.

I'm practicing for these nerdy small tournaments me, my bros, cousin, and other people hold, so the following games so far:

Barker Bill's Shooting
Cobra Triangle
Fighter's Megamix
Road Rash II
Shadow Blasters
Soldier Blade 2 minute mode
Sonic 3 (maybe)
Space Harrier via Shenmue
Super Street Fighter 2

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

RE4 Update: just finished Assignment Ada. Overall is a very short run and really hard to adjust not being able to use a knife. Moved on to Merc mode.

I have been playing F.E.A.R. and Bet On Soldier alot.

I picked up alot of pc games the other day I originally missed out on,like American Mcgees Scrapland. Im sure it will be great considering his Alice game rocked.

I still need to sit and play Shadow of Destiny for PC.
