How was the FFXV story? Worth picking the game up? I've heard they're about to update the game a lot and change lots of things.

Story was the worst part for me to be honest, I really didn't understand it. The best part is open world exploration and quest loops, but it gets old fast. I am not sure I'd recommend it except to the open minded hardcore final fantasy fanboys hahaha

Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel
8.5/10

Beat this a few days ago. A lot better than I expected going in (I disliked the localized PSP garghav trilogy). Filled with dialogue and exposition as one would expect from a Legend of Heroes game. It took me just shy of 70 hours and I wasn't really lollygagging at all, in fact I had started practically skipping the text in the filler side quests (needed for best ranking). The plot is nothing to write home about exactly, though it's within the same world as Trails in the Sky and does continue through two more games so it could be more interesting. It's certainly better than a lot newer of JRPGs I have played lately in that regard. At least the developers cared about crafting this world and it shows with the lore/backstory you can find in the game. The battle system is where this game truly shines. Lots of options but not so complex that it's annoying. Straight forward and menu driven. Enemies are visible on the map everywhere, so no random battles. The final boss sequence has two fights with a slightly different combat method which I am thinking will be a part of the series going forward (sporadic fights here and there I don't want to spoil anything by mentioning more).

tl;dr If you like JRPGs buy this game.

Hitman (PS4)

I've beaten the short main campaign a while ago but I always keep coming back since they keep adding extra missions, contracts and features on top of the game all the time, it's incredible. Almost justifies the always online DRM bullshit they did to it.

I have a friend that plays this about every day as well. I tried it but I just don't get the appeal I guess and I haven't played it again.

ps4:
Nioh - about 15 hours in. Loving the game so far. The combat is really nice. Kusurigama, and poison is what i use to take down my foes.

DS:
barnyard blast - a decent action platformer, that could have been a good game if it had some polish.

^Everything I read about Nioh is positive. It's definitely now on my list of games to pick up when I get a PS4.

Recently played through Path of Radiance on hard mode again, going to start up Radiant Dawn in a bit and try hard mode (heard it's brutal af) but just finished up an Aria of Sorrow run the other day so I started up Dawn of Sorrow again today.

Finally beat Octor Freud in Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams (Wii U) today, maybe someday I'll have the patience to beat Gurglewocky and complete the game...

Ok I just beat Metal Gear Solid 3. Wow.

What an amazingly told story with stellar gameplay that had my wanting more. [MILD SPOILER] One of the best bosses in a video game I've ever loved and hated. The final battle was so damn cool with the mixture of a tense battle within a field of lilies--how it starts off with just the sound of the cool breeze brushing the wildlife around you and then slowly the dramatic yet emotional music fades in all while there is a "timer" to battle against.

Can't wait to play the rest of the series.

Best part of that game was the silly Bond style song iyam. Good game though for sure.

I just cleared Ys MoC. Very enjoyable game.
