I've played SB a few times. I know two people who have it. The controller is the game. Some laggy mocap BS isn't going to suffice. Not at all.

I played Line of Contact for like 6 hours a day for 3 years straight.  It was pretty f*cking serious shit.

I highly doubt the Kinect shit is going to make me don the Hai Shi Dao uniform again.  I also highly doubt there is going to be a sweet artillery mech called the Maelstrom that I will figure out how to effectively use indoors and confuse about 12 people, because they've just been killed by artillery in a f*cking building.

It got to the point where people would be like "Oh shit, its Arkhan.  Hes going to take a Maelstrom.  Hes going to make us hate our lives.  Crap."  I never took anything but that VT.

We had this one match.  Sweet lord, my enemies even laughed their asses off afterwards.  It was down to whichever team lost a mech next was going to lose.  The enemy had 1 dude left out in the field, and he was in the best up-close VT in the game.

He stood down a long sloped downward hallway and mined himself in so we couldnt just run down and hit him.... then he thought hed just wait it out.  Wed run down and get pummeled, or the timer would run out and they'd win due to them having slightly more points than us.

I fired overhead rockets in front of me, down the 45 degree angle sloped hallway, had them cruise along the ceiling, and hit the clown right in the face and blew him to pieces.   He ragequitted from the game for 3 months, saying I cheated.  His team laughed at him and called him a retard.

The rockets I fired were designed to fire up above you, and outward.  8 rockets, fanned out like a cone.

I figured out how to shoot them downward, and all in a straight line, lol.

Man, I miss that game.

Perhaps, but blame the Wii for starting the motion control gimmick.

Its a stupid, failed gimmick at that.

Metroid Prime 3 was ruined by having to hold your f*ckin arm out in front of you the whole time otherwise you look at the floor, or straight up in the air.

Thats not immersive.  If my arm aims where I look AND where I shoot my gun, then that means samus' gun is mounted to her head, or her face is on her hand..  That isn't right.

that, and it was ruined by being another dumbass first person game.

all of the good Wii games are the ones that don't require you to flail around like a tool.   Except for trauma center.   Its the only game where pointing was useful.

Motion control games are here to stay, period. We're just going to have to deal with a decade of total garbage before the input mechanism becomes as transparent as traditional controllers. The same horrible horrible teething years thing happened with polygon-based games and CG cartoons. I question whether or not its even worth it to make these transitions if we have to endure a decade of crap, but regardless...that's what's going to happen. The same thing is happening with 3D movies right now.

Motion sensing wont take over.  we will revolt and start hitting people with flails made out of atari joysticks.

Yah Capcom hasn't really released any notable 3d/1st person games (Bionic Commando shoulda been so much better  #-o ) ....but i think they single handedly revived the 1 on 1 fighting game genre w/SF4 ! Now they got SF vs. Tekken and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 which has some jawdropping visuals...amazing looking shit!

On a side note.... the whole Wii Goldeneye 007 remake trying to "bring back" the feeling that was Goldeneye on N64... yeah that was total FAIL.  The Wii controls just dont do it.

I thought they included the option to play the game with a GameCube, or Classic Controller?

For the fullest N64 experience, you can even get the game bundled with a gold colored classic controller pro.

I see the 3D Bionic Commando from time to time for cheap, I keep thinking of picking it up, but I just haven't gotten myself to do it.
