Perhaps SNK doesn't have the later releases available for download due to the sheer size of these games, especially towards the latter part of the system's life. Most of the games released from 1999-2004 were 708 megs, which includes such classics as SVC Chaos, Metal Slugs 3-5, etc.

Or maybe SNK is trying to play it safe by releasing the titles that the general population is more 'familiar' with instead of trying to satisfy it's hardcore fan base. The Neo Geo has always been a niche system, why not tailor to the wants of their REAL fans? I'm sorry but the first entries to Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting and Samurai Shodown respective series are a little too primitive compared to their much superior sequels. Windjammers would absolutely rule 2-Player online versus mode.

I also feel that SNK is cannabalizing their products by releasing these games online which are readilly available on compilations discs for much cheaper prices.

SignofZeta: What a quintessentially PCEFX thread. Someone complains about nothing, multiple Bible-length posts discussing who's a bigger a$$hole follow. You're both pretty big a$$holes. Let's call it a tie.

I for one am happy with the downloadable content, but would only download exclusive titles that did not come out or are too pricey!
I like holding my gun, Cleaning my gun, and Shooting my gun!

I have always loved those first couple of neogeo games that got posted which are coming soon to psn, but why does SNK always release the same "early" games for every online download system or snk collection pack?  Why can't they release later titles early on?  I know when it comes to the Wii and VNC it's probably a problem with the Wii not having enough ram to load the games.

The Wii has 88MB of RAM (708 Mega Shocks) That's more than enough for any Neo Geo game if they can come up with any half way decent decompression scheme to run the game partially from flash. Even if loaded directly into RAM most games would fit. Not Real Bout 2 or Metal Slug 3, but certainly KOF 96, Pulstar, and a bunch of other great shit. They're just being lazy. Sega does the same shit with Hang On, Outrun, Space Harrier. Its frustrating.

neogeo coming to ps3 is that there is now a nice official neogeo snk controller.

There is one for Wii too, and PS2, since quite a while ago.

Yeah I know there's a SNK controller for the Wii, but I like the ps3 one since it's USB.  Does the Wii SNK Neogeo controller connect to the Wiimote like the classic controller?

I actually don't know, but I'm pretty sure it would. That seems to be how they do things.

ok I picked up League Bowling, pretty fun. My kid and I played for like an hour and had a blast. Haven't tried online play yet, but we will see. Oh and I submitted all the current NeoStation titles to RFGeneration if any of your are OCD (like me) and like to have your downloadable purchases cataloged:

http://www.rfgeneration.com/

They should be added on there in a couple days.
