The new Mortal Kombat

Have you played it, or seen it played? What do you think of it?

Personally, I think it's pretty good. Better than most of the MK games, at least.

Q: Is the new MK game good?
A: If Christopher Lambert was involved in any fashion, then, YES.

Ultimate MK3 is an awesome game.  I will Cyber Smoke your ass any day of the week.

I have the new one on the way, hope to play it next week!

I played the demo on PSN...it's def a throwback (with a nice new paint job).  It can be fun for mindless fighting, but not worth $60 to me.

That was the last one i did play in the serise befor i gave up on mk.

Still i never liked the dail-o combos in UMK3 to much any how.Btw,since i been hearing so many postive things about the new mk.I will get it later on since it's a throwback to the original serise.

The people who can stomach any MK seem to love it. Myself, I've always hated MK and after checking this one out at my friend's place the other night I'd have to say I hate this one at least as much as all the other ones.

There is nothing wrong with something that puts style over substance, but if you don't have any style to begin with...you get this.

Sure the substance is minimal. It's just a 2D brawler after all.

I think the style is great, fatalities, X-rays, combos, character design.

If u like mk games, u will like this one. If not, stay away, cuz it's gonna seem like any other

That's the most offensive thing I've ever heard said on this forum. There is no game more substantial than a good fighter, period.

Yeah...that's not style. That's just tacky sophomoric accouterment...and in MK these things eat the rest of the game leaving nothing but the add-ons.

That I agree with.

I know, I'm a big fan of one on ones, but it didn't sound like you were. ppl who don't like the genre usually tag it as depth-less but I kno there's more to it. I retract my first statement.

I like the mks cuz they r fun for me.
