So does my copy of Castlevania: Bloodlines. I would really like to relieve it of its cardboard prison. My copy of PSIV is loose though. I am still looking for a case and manual.

They actually made a clamshell Bloodlines. Phantasy Star IV was cardboard box only.

Clamshell Bloodlines seems to go on the 'bay for about double what the cardboard one does, at least in the auctions I was watching. Guessing the cardboard version (which I have) is like the second printing or something? anybody know?

Yeah, the cardboard games came later. I suspect it was printed in 95 or the Majesco era.

Added in edit: It was a Majesco re-release

That is why I haven't dropped the cash on a clamshell case. I saw my copy in a local store for $5 last year and I couldn't pass it up. The cart looked like it had never been played.

Castlevania clamshell also comes with an instruction manual that has a color cover. Majesco manual is 100% black and white.

The B&W manual is crap.  What a rip-off.

Yay!

Joe, I haven't mentioned this (I meant to a few weeks ago), but my daughter and I love watcing Game Sack! She loves everything (the commentary, the humor, your personalities, etc.) and watches it for pure entertainment...sure, she gets to see (and learn) about some games that I don't have, but she's watching primarily because she enjoys it (she's not a video game nerd...yet).

These episodes are consistently entertaining.  I love the little goofy bits after the credits roll.  Top notch all around.

YOU WORK ON THE SABBATH?

Esteban, that's awesome to hear! We're always happy and amazed when someone actually enjoys the show instead of just looking at games.  :)
