Nice entry! Although Dave did miss a couple things this episode.
One of his complaints in Yoshi's Story was about the list of fruit kinda clogging up the screen.
You can toggle the on-screen fruit frame off/on.

Good episode however a few items that need to be addressed.

1.    Dave said that you can't run in SNES Hook.  To run you need only hold down Y.  Pretty much like Super Mario.

2.     In Yoshi Story you can toggle off the fruit on the screen, it isn't permanent.

3.     I am not sure that the "wolves" in Altered Beast are Wolves.  I believe that they are oxen

You are the first to tell us this. Thanks.

You are also the first person to tell us this. Thanks.

So far in the comments on Youtube, people have thought that they were cows, pigs and somethings else. It's a wolf. Let us reference the manual:

As an Altered Beast fan, I always knew they were wolves.

But they don't have three heads, even the illustration in the manual shows two heads.

It's not a misinterpretation by localizations either, in the original arcade version they're called "Albino Raskelt(?) Wolf".

But that English manual scan is ridiculous for adding an extra head to the description.

I'm sure the translator was thinking of Cerberus, which is understandable.

Great episode, I'm a big fan of both Altered Beast and China Warrior.

The Genesis version of Altered Beast is not the only home port with a two player mode.  The PC Engine Hucard version does has a two player mode.  PC Engine CD version doesn't for some reason.

Golden Ax was reduced to one player on the Sega CD for some strange reason as well.
