Dana Plato (or something like that) was her name. I still remember the episode when she used rainwater to wash her hair and it turned green. We had a black and white TV, so we couldn't see the difference in her hair... it was pretty funny. I was stoked when I finally saw that episode in color :).

I love Different Strokes, it's funny you mention it because I've kind of been watching it recently, along with Family Ties (which is one of my favorite sitcoms). Todd Bridges and Gary Coleman are just two cool dudes.

Alright, close the polls.  I went with a genesis lot last night on ebay.  Picked up a the model 2 (not preferred just ended up that way due to the lot) and like 30-40 games in box with manuals for a very very good price.  Streets of Rage was in there so I'm def stoked!!  Thanks mucho for all of your help...  I'm still going to pick up a dreamcast as well in a couple months or something.  I need a little info on the pro action replay thing.  Its a cd?  is it called cdx?  Couldn't figure.  Well thanks again all!!

40 games? nice! that is a good starter set seriously. Genesis 1 models are very easy to track down and dirt cheap as well.

No wonder! I had no idea it was Dana Plato! I only played bits and pieces of Night Trap so I didn't remember much about it.

Just for that I knew about her death then. Drug overdose.

She had a really tough life too. She once robbed a video store to support her drug habit.

Yeah, all of those kids in Different Strokes had some screwed up events in real life afterwards. I know Todd Bridges had drug addictions too and has been in and out of jail years ago and I think Gary Coleman ended up beating up some worker at a store or something. For the Gary Coleman event, I am referring to that made-for-TV movie about the lives of these people after Different Strokes. I just rememeber laughing at this scene of Gary Coleman rolling on the ground with some worker and trying to fight her.

Nice find i use to own one, Genesis2+SegaCd2.

The games for it can be.. dirt cheap it. Unless of corse your getting into the importing side for it on some games.

Btw i miss the days of the Sega Channel :(
