If you count all of the games ever released for the Sega Master System and Sega Genesis, they certainly have way more mega power than any Neo Geo game.  If you count every physical copy of every game released for the Genesis and the Neo Geo, the Genesis clearly comes away with more mega power in existence.  Mega power owns you.  The Giga Drive invented giga power, but it was too powerful.  In fact whenever the system was turned on, a nation was destroyed.

The Genesis is also better than the Neo Geo since there isn't as much info-hoarding in its world.

The HyperGeo 64 was the first arcade board to use PC architecture, right? Or was that Hydro Thunder/Carnevil? I can never remember...

SF Rush actually,if your talking about 3d graphics hardware chips. From then on a majority of Midway and Atari games used pc hardware including 3DFX graphics of some type. Konami did also. Its common practice now.

@Tron: That movie was made of god and win.

@turbo_sage: I liked Super Hydlide (a.k.a. Hydlide III in Japan), and it had GREAT music especially the first town track called "Out Of Freedom":

Synthesizer Rearrange (awesome): http://gh.ffshrine.org/song/4241/5

SEGA Genesis version (almost as good as the synth rearrange, I ripped this myself using KEGA Fusion): http://www.savefile.com/files/598854

PC-8801 version (Absolutely HORRIBLE even though technically the FM should be BETTER than the Genesis): http://gh.ffshrine.org/song/4241/15

The Genesis and PC-8801 versions are by Shigeru Tomita, the synth rearrange is by Michiaki Katou.

Watching a video demo of the Korg M1 (the first digital ROMpler workstation):
Part 1:
Part 2:

VERY VERY bulky synth, but the sound is timeless and helped define certain genres, like House.

Thankfully, you can get the M1, the Wavestation (the M1 with vector synthesis), the T1, T2, and T3 (the sucessors to the M1, bigger sample ROM) all in VST format (and standalone program) as part of the Korg Legacy Collection: Digital Edtion.
