Zeta's new TV is the Sony KV-34XBR960.  I used to have one myself.  It's 1080i native but also does 540p.  It zooms that in a bit and you get 480p displayed in true progressive fashion.  There are scanlines in 480p mode.  240p is displayed as 480i.  I hated carrying that TV anywhere, I had to use BOTH hands.  It was ridiculous.  I eventually got a nice backpack I could fit it into, though, and soon I would bike with it to my friend's house, use it thee for a while and bike back with it.

Do you have the battery pack for it?

Exactly.  No biggie.  Granted I'd have to have 5 guys riding beside me to keep it up and then a bunch of guys riding beside them to make sure they didn't lose their balance but otherwise it was easy.

And yes, that TV runs on 2 "C" batteries.

I heard somewhere they turned Valis / Yuko into Hentai genre trying to milk sales out of the remaining franchise..

hey, got a new cam there too? :)

Nope, same old camera as always.  It seems to like Yuko's boobs I think.

I was always hoping to get the tuner for mine someday, TZD had sold out by the time I decided I wanted one, but given the switch to digital, good thing I didn't waste that money. Why a third TE, BTW? Triple the fun ??

You can never have enough, it was too good of a deal to pass up:)

My third TE and a bonus, a tv turner. You can still get a channel:)
Is that a TE case or just a case or a homebrewed one?  I wonder if anyone has connected up a HD antenna to a TE?

That is just a travelmate case. I wonder if they make a portable digital convertor?

I just called this guy: http://wausau.craigslist.org/ele/2998291545.html

Yeah, all CRTs were Wegas at that time. The Grand Wegas are rear projectors. The model number is 34XBR960.

Turns out he still hasn't sold it, and he just wants someone to pick it up.  Might have to run out and snag it.  I'll post pics later.  :)

This might make for a good TV for one of our gamer gatherings yes?  There are also a couple other sales on cl for sony wega TVs.  What do you think Matti?

As long as the condition is fine I would take it. It's too big for MGC but would make VGS all the better. :) I really need to get one of these!

I had a 27 incher a few years ago (sold it in 2005 before I moved to Tokyo) for $100.  The TVs were bricks in weight... i was able to lift the 27 on my own down the stairs, but can't imagine the 32 incher.  def need 2 people to help truck that thing!

where are the gamer-get togethers?   if there is ever one when i'm back on a US-business trip I'm totally in!!

splurged a bit on titles that have been elusive for me.  Cost me $140 with all the shipping and yahoo auction payment fees... i will need to forcifully sell off some other dups to help fund these purchases but thus far am happy with the grabs... esp wanting to give Rainbow islands a full-go play.
