haha. Yeah, it's definitely a walk-through, but there's just something about it. Maybe it's the Commando style gameplay along with the terrible cut scenes. lol

Yeah- I'm a sucker for Ikari Warriors/Commando type action myself- I just wish this game could've been longer.  It's ludicrously short for a CD game- probably not even 1/5th the size of Last Alert.

Some co-op play would have also been a great addition to this game. With the different characters, the game almost begs for it.

Could use more enemy types too.  I don't think I counted more than ten.

nah I'm being serious- there's an army type guy- a couple of futuristic looking soldiers- one with a normal shot and one with a lazer, like three different armored trucks, winged freaks, green guys with slimy puke flying from their mouths, spiders- and the final boss.  That's ten enemies.  I might be missing like ONE- but I think that's about it.

Ahhh now that I think about there's at least two more enemies- helicopters in the shooting stage and a guy on your team in a suit?

I count 23 separate and distinct enemies:

Soldiers:
    green uniform with machine gun
    green uniform with grenades
    gray uniform with rocket launcher
    gold uniform with machine gun (boss)

Tanks:
    dual turrets
    single turret and missile launcher
    four turrets and flame thrower (boss)

Aircraft:
    light green helicopter
    dark green helicopter
    fighter jets
    giant plane (boss)

Watercraft:
    destroyer
    battleship
    aircraft carrier with anti-aircraft rockets

NAPs:
    purple and white with machine gun
    purple and gold with laser
    gray with jet pack and machine gun
    squat and green with rocket launcher
    gold with dual lasers (boss)

Other:
    acid spitter
    spiders
    faeries
    giant snake/skull thing (boss)

I was just pokin' ya with a pointy stick earlier and agree that it could use more variety (as well as a second player and a couple more stages), so I'm surprised that there's this many different enemies.  Even though some of 'em are pretty similar (the 'copters differ in color only), it sure doesn't feel like there's that many different dudes when playing.

Been playing it for weeks off and on, but can't get through stage 7 yet.

I was playing it one night a few weeks ago for the first time in forever and got at least halfway through level 8

My excuse for not finishing this one earlier is that I only recently found out from Ceti in shout that you actually accumulate more than 1 spell  :oops:...
Pretty foolish, I know.  Anyway- now I can move on to Valis III (already beat Valis II)...

I'm now also tied for the pcedaisakusen # 5 spot for clears with hkfan
