Seems like all the Tubo stuff is on a price hike. Even some auctions seemed to have ended at ridiculously high prices. A couple of them included the US Super System Card, but still.

Yeah everything's gone crazy right now...

$450 for a US Duo with Gate of Thunder?!  ](*,)

http://cgi.ebay.com/Turbo-Duo-System-COMPLETE-w-Gate-Thunder-4-in-1-game-/320691519627

And when did the Duo 3in1 CD become a $100 game..

http://cgi.ebay.com/GATE-THUNDER-BONK-1-2-Turbografx-Turbo-Duo-Grafx-/330556647104

Of course, this one sold for a closer to normal price...

Is it just me, or is some of this getting way out of hand.....

This whole retro gaming boom is great and all but this needs to stop! Someone with a YT account and a lot of subscribers should make a vid concerning the situation. Bucci and Starsoldier1 come to mind.

I love my hobby and all my friends that I have made because of it. This will always part of my life, but watching something I love get treated with disrespect and greed brings, as the Angry Video Game Nerd would say, "My piss to a boil."

I literally bought the Gates of Thunder 3-in1 CD a couple of months ago for $35 with case and all three manuals. I saw that listing yesterday and showed a friend - got a good laugh. And the crazy thing, that was an AUCTION, not some douche overpricing a Buy It Now.

I'm just really surprised that the American stuff that is fetching big cash.

I sold a GoT 3in1 cd not too long ago for around $30   I'm not sure why that one went for so much.  But I agree with Mathius, there's something going on with this retro craze and its definitely getting frustrating.  The people buying this stuff for big bucks are the people who want it to show off their "collection"  Not the ones who are actually going to play that stuff.  Our only hope is that the fad of being a "retro game collector" will pass and some of these guys will sell of their collections to fund some other diversion.

I'll admit I've got a lot of stuff I dont play very much, and I do sometimes get something just because it looks neat in the collection.  But at the end of the day, I'm in this stuff because I enjoy playing it.  It has entertainment value and nostalgic value to me.

Is this the gouging?

He has some other auctions as well... I would consider new, as never been opened, never been touched, and never been tested.  I think gamestop has gotten in trouble for this kind of thing...

That's RPGArcana who has been under suspicion of re-sealing games and selling them as new. He has already been banned from Sega-16! Buyer, and wallet, beware.

There was someone on the mailing list many years ago that wanted to wallpaper one of his rooms with Keith Courage HuCards and asked people to send him unwanted chips.  I think he had a pretty positive response, but never heard if he actually reached his goal...
