Haven't seen the show yet, but is he playing on some sort of big HD TV? If yes, the lag of one of these almost ruined anything for me, when I brought my videogames to a friend who had a Samsung Full HD. Trying MM2's Bubble Man stage ended disastrous. Even with all the TV's filter options turned off, the lag was still there and not only present when playing old stuff, but also HD sources (Xbox 360) showed noticeably lag.

Love my big 'ole CRT at home, that tube never let me down.
It all depends. My Samsung LCD from 2008 had zero lag and displayed pictures nicely. Unfortunately, it died, so back to a CRT for me anyway, but just not because of lag.

Game Center CX is my favorite show. Too bad Arino is getting old, I can't see it lasting for more 5 years unfortunately.
He's in his 40's like me you consider that old !? Though he is getting rusty at a game when he's played it before.

I know I know, not so old but you got to consider that he's now having to wear glasses and he has slower reflexes than in previous episodes. I said 5 years not one season...
Maybe after five years.I watched the one where he played, super mario land.He really did struggle to complete it and that is a easy game to.
I don't think the appeal of the show is watching him play well. He's not a very good gamer. The point of the show is to watch him struggle and persevere to the end. The show is almost more about him and his personality. Even if he gets older and skills get worse I think people would still enjoy the show just the same. After all, he has the interns come in almost every episode to get through the spots he gets stuck in.
(19:28:25) GE0: superdead told me in whisper that his favorite game is mario paint

CDamm (from Windy Gaming) and I will be taking the road trip of the century down to that show from Chicago. Stop by the Windy booth in the vendor hall and kick it with us!

Anybody else going?

Ooh... this is really tempting. Not a bad price either. If so we should have some kind of pcenginefx meet up or something!

You know I'm planning to make it. You need a good obey drinking buddy in Texas.

If per chance I can somehow get that friday off I might be able to head down.  Looks like a 12 hour drive...  Im spoiled by the 9-10 hour drive to the Chicago conventions when I lived in Knoxville TN.  I forgot just how remote Denver is!
