My God the little skit at the end with all those Super Rare + Expensive carts and CD's.  Neo Turf Masters AES is like a $3,000-$4,000 Game.

Just went back and re-watched that part. I'm liking the coincidental placement of all those games.

Seriously that's thousands of dollars in games right there, that is no mistake.  It's borderline pornography as far as I am concerned.

New Game Sack, Sunsoft

Does Joe typically ninja episodes up in the middle of the night?

No!

I'm going to rewatch your Outrun episode for more Information on the Xbox games.
Did that. And then bought a used Outrun 2006 Coast to Coast for PC.

....after three days of playing I've come to my personal conclusion:
What a f*cking great game this is! Still looks gorgeous despite being almost a decade old and runs blazing fast on my laptop. Oh, and the music... So many catchy tunes. I have a special thing for the Magical Sound Shower Euro Remix, but even the original 1986 songs are very fitting.

Joe, I remember you mentioned the somewhat twitchy controls of SP/2006, and I agree. I have no trouble drifting, but as soon as drifting ends on some straights or trying to switch lanes without drifting, the Ferrari tends to be a bit nervous. I guess I can live with that.

Many thanks for your OutRun video! And it's too bad that After Burner Climax isn't available anymore. I could give myself a severe kicking for not having purchased it a few months before it was taken down.

I just felt the need to add this:

Game Sack Cat by xelement5x, on Flickr

I had gotten this awesome Game Sack bag from Joe Redifer awhile ago and have been using it to store some of my extra Saturn controllers.  My cat seems to have taken a liking to the texture or something though and was snuggling it last night and trying to knock it over to lay on top of.  Figured I would snap a picture at least.  :P

/lesson start

In Germany, there's a saying "Die Katze im Sack kaufen" (translates to: to buy the cat in the sack), which means something like "to buy a pig in a poke".

That's all well and good, but I don't understand the idiom "to buy a pig in a poke."
