Neato!  Once you get the game play stuff down, I hope you redo the graphics; a classic mode and a next-gen mode would be killer.

I plan to continue it until it is finished!

The plan currently is to have digitized ADPCM samples for sound fx, and cd audio tracks for background music.

So, the game will be distributed on CD when done!

Id like to have PSG music.... but that is a whole learning experience I have to take on first :-D

Well, last night after downin some coke (The pop NOT the powder! >_<), I cranked out some stuff.

Wall collisions, Leaving room detection, lazer hitting walls......

also, I polished up the lazer collision so that you can do the happy strategic sniping past walls and using them for cover >_<

The lazer has pixel perfect accuracy! They ride along walls !

wooo.

Next up: diagonal shooting


Also: I figured Ill ask everyone:   Death animations........

Should I do:

Palette swapping so he blinks and flashes
make him shrink down and bloop away kinda like pacman
...Something else?

I was also thinking of maybe painting new graphics for death that make him look like a skeleton while hes being electrocuted....
