However, the biggest reason for me to own that system would be for the Langrisser series.  Five games of medieval fantasy strategy coupled with excellent Urushihara artwork and mind blowing rocking music.  I would so get this system if it had all five games for it.

The Saturn is one of the classic systems I want to own next to the Turbo DUO and PS1. 8)
Well you can buy the Langrisser seperately for dirt cheap prices.

Realy it's the boxset that go's for the 'most since it has, all five games plus a nice booklet for it's manual... and it also comes with a phone card.

Btw if you wounder how i know that i have the boxset of it.

If i remember right i'd payed $101.00 for it years ago.

Get the PAL version of Keoi 2 so you can read all the cool shit you unlock as you play the game.  Plus the story is hilarious.

I'm a sucker for everything Urushihara.  I could just go and hunt that box down myself. :D

Sorry, but I don't see your library card on the books of Ys.  Now, RETURN THEM TO ME!!!

About all the arcade game 2d fighter ports, except Fatal Fury 3,because somehow they managed to mess that one up,it runs slow.
Thunderforce 5,The Parodius,Gradius,and Salamander stuff,Dracula X,Metal Slug,Dungeons and Dragons Collection,Dead or Alive,Last Bronx,Fire Pro 6 Man Scramble,Giant Gram,Golden Axe the Duel,Shinobi Legends,and so many more.

I'm a huge Sega nut - the Saturn probably being my favorite system. Anyway, I figured I would add some more to this list: Soukyugurentai, Saturn Bomberman, Elevator Action Returns, Baku Baku Animal, Battle Garegga, and Kingdom Grand Prix.

+1 for Saturn fan.  Probably one of my favorite systems along with the Duo and the DC.  Actually, those 3 are the ones that are hooked up to my livingroom TV.  They were all the "underdog" systems during it's lifespan... Hmm....  There's just something to supporting the underdogs, eh?

Being a sega fan, I just liked the Saturn for its Sega-exclusive titles.  VF2, Virtual On, Dragon Force, etc...

The Saturn will always be the 32-bit PC Engine for me.

Not just because of all the great import niche games and it's underdog status, but also because it's home to games like Tengai Makyo IV, Saturn Bomberman and all those other PCE sequals and ports.

It's more or less my 3rd favorite console(tied'ish with Intellivision) behind Turbo/PCE and SMS/MarkIII.

Hmm, I love my Saturn all. Dead Or Alive was so awesome compared to the Playstation version, I love it. Krazy Ivan was the shit as well. Plus, in the USD, it had an amazing version of Quake, and that is just awesome!

Lobotamy was an amazing software company and they did fantastic stuff with the Saturn as did Travellers tales with Sonic R.

I agree with you completely. I wish that I knew what in the Hell ever happened to Lobotomy and why nobody seems to use them anymore.

::Can't beleive I never saw this thread till now::

Dudes, your all right!!  I honestly feel that the 'torch' was passed from the Turbo to the Saturn in the US 'Underdog league'.  Never got the respect it truly deserved.
Massively terrific for importing, while having a nice American list of games, even had Working Design classics being ported as well!

Tons of amazing Shooters and RPG's.  Just an overall JAWESOME console.  I think its either my 3rd or 4th favorite console of all time.  with good company (Turbo, SNES, NES)

Yea, it rules- My fav games would have to be Dragon Force and Panzer Saga.  I need to get those games BACK ASAP!!!

Damn stupid for selling those off!!!

Yeah, I have reacently been rebuilding my collection as well. As for the underdog systems I really enjoy, the Turbo, Saturn, 3DO and Jaguar are all favorites of mine. All four of those systems kick ass man!

Heh, I recently won a lot of 12 defective Saturns on ebay for $15  (though I had to pay $44 for shipping).  Of the 12, I got 7 of them working nicely now - simply mixing and matching CD laser assembly unit and power supplies.

I think I can maybe save 1 or 2 more, but it's time to bust out the soldering iron now, and actually start ripping out the good CD motors...

There were plenty of awesome japan Saturn games that never got to see the light over here.  I hope the Wii service will offer the Saturn in the future and possibly translate and release the japanese titles here too.

Dude is that a typo or a real word? Either way, I love JAWESOME! :)

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).
