I loved this gem from the listing:

Note: If you're waiting for me to drop price over time on this item it isn't going to happen. So it's buy it now, or never.

LOL that was the best part all trying to pressure the buyer to pull the trigger on this gem.  He doesn't even mention what he cleaned and no sign if the system has been recapped.

That "TRULY Complete" TurboDuo is missing the outer sleeve, stretch wrap, Ninja Spirit manual, Ys I & II in white case with manual, GoT 4-in-1  in white case with 3 manuals and it looks like Ninja Spirit is missing the HuCard sleeve.

Why agressively advertise how you have the only completely complete Duo when it's only 35% complete?

I suspect it has never been recapped and seller may not be aware that his system is slowly rotting away from inside.  Unless it gets recapped, the buyer will end up filing claim for non-working system and seller would have to eat return shipping and the $90 in eBay listing fee and hopefully buyer didn't screw things up like misplace game manual or repack the lot poorly allowing Duo box to arrive badly damaged.

Seller responded to my question about sound output and recap:

No, sound is working perfectly. This is collector's item, so messing with it internally would be a bad idea at this point. Unless the sound went out. Thanks anyway.

Guess it's never been opened so he has no idea if the caps are leaking somewhere already.

i have seen quite a few consoles that still work fine with the original caps.  every console needs to have them be replaced though as they will stop working at some point.  its perfectly believable that the console is working at the moment.

That is so amusing he refuses to mess with the inside because it's a collectors item yet the outside is a wreck lol.

I have heard that if you something more regularly then the caps will hold out longer because they're being used.  Is this true or the reverse?

Not sure if which if either is true.  Could also have something to do with the climate the console was stored in.

It's rare that someone list a true rare game as auction style and not a BIN with impossibly high price.  Unfortunately it is not CIB or even with case.

It is up at over $2000 which is quite high and already out of my range. Guess I'll stick with my $80 TED for a few years longer.

Probably helps that they included a picture of the cardboard box.

How is that a bad auction? Sucks that the price is so high on such a mediocre game, but the seller isn't at fault here.

So is the cardboard box actually included?

I've been following that Magical Chase auction. I find it interesting that it is listed as an actual auction instead of a buy it now. I am going to be curious to see it is ends legitimately, or if a bunch of people just place troll bids to drive the price up even further and it ends up having to be relisted, or sold somewhere else.

Can anyone on here remember the last time a copy like this sold as an auction on Ebay and how much it went for?  :-k
