I loved this gem from the listing:

Note: If you're waiting for me to drop price over time on this item it isn't going to happen. So it's buy it now, or never.

Looks like the seller ended up dropping the price after all. :^o

Not really linkable, but I was looking at an item on ebay and asked the seller a question about the item, then told them I was interested.  They very politely answered the question, and then raise the price of the auction by $20.  :|

That happened to me before too. The guy had multiples off the same item and previously had not sold one for as high as his current price.  I asked him to sell me one at the highest price he had sold one for in the past and he said no and raised the price.

Do you want to see a really bad eBay auction?

Apparently a copy of the bootleg of Space Fantasy Zone was sold for 92€ plus shipping costs. I wonder whether the buyer was aware of what it is...

If they don't know what it is, why would they buy it?  It's not like it's a candy bar impulse buy in the checkout lane.

While normally I would agree with you, I still think it's crazy to buy a bootleg copy of a prototype for more than 100€. I still think the buyer think he is buy something "real" and "original"...

There's no shortage of idiots out there, so it's entirely possible, but I can't imagine any intelligent person that'd be willing to shell out such cash without knowing what it is or bothering to consult google.

If they're surprised that it's a bootie, imagine their chagrin when they find out it's a CDR.

What about paying even more for a cdr copy of a free-to-download hack/port of Mega Man for PC Engine?

For the sake of the good in humanity, perhaps the buyer wanted to screw over the seller by reporting fake goods to ebay.
