Yep, was watching that but it's too much.  $100 in cleaning supplies and there's no guarantee the control pad rubbers have rotted away. The Duo would also need recap and probably a whole new laser and spindle assembly, the old one likely got rusted and warped and can't be salvaged.

If I was going to make a CD-less Duo it'd have to be for a lot less than the current bid amount.

Piss on it first.

Then you'll be golden.

Literally and figuratively.

The idiot who won bid three times at the end and the end price is only the max of the second biggest idiot. So who knows how much they were willing to pay for a pile of dirty incomplete untested Turbo items. Maybe they all thought that it comes with two System 3.1 cards that they plan to flip for $300 each?

The winner also has a feedback score of over 8 thousand.

This deserves to be in the dumb buyers thread.

I am 99% certain that the buyer has a soot fetish.

You read that right.

Not a foot fetish.

Soot fetish.

Chimney sweep.

Bleak House.

Just take a minute to look at what items are selling for before listing fever hits.

If you look at his other auctions, he wants a grand for a NES and has Keith Courage listed for $50.  I think his old lady told him to get rid of all his collectibles.  He told her that if he could sell them on ebay, he would.  If not, he would keep them.

Yes!

That is a plausible theory.

I'm putting that theory in my back pocket...I might need to use it one of these days...
