I'm taking a stroll down memory lane and playing Dungeon Explorer.  I still love it!  I love the sequel, but this game will always be one of my favorites.

Ah I am cheating as I am using a ISO myself till I can buy it, but there is NO difference except the audio is 1,000 times better. I have all the TGCD/PCE CD-ROM images but I really prefer the "real" thing. I just like to try it before I buy it to make sure I don't waste any cash. Besides it is the only way I can play Rondo of Blood in English.

I am having a little problem though.

I'm trying to get to the Tengu retreat where the Kagerou spell is (on the southwest end of Map 1), but the Dark Orchid's tentacles are sticking out of the ground and blocking the path.

I don't enjoy Dungeon Explorer as much when I'm playing it solo. DE is infinitely better when you have the multitap going.

Ah thanks. In the FAQ's I used, at that point of the game they don't mention the tentacles and make it sound like that path is readily accessible
